Testimonials

After coaching myself through 2 marathon training cycles, I wanted the guidance of dietician for my next race knowing that I was likely not optimizing things from a nutritional standpoint.  Prior to engaging with Holley in a 1:1 coaching relationship, I had used her marathon training plan from the bundle and been following her on social media, and felt that we would be a great fit.  Her resources had helped me immensely the first two times and I looked forward to having someone help me mind the gaps in a more personal capacity.  We worked together for a marathon build, and looking back I am still pretty amazed at how great I felt during the training cycle that we worked together.  Holley’s coaching ability allows her to get results with encouragement, not pushing, and her expertise as a Board-Certified Sports Dietician is unmatched in the athletic community.  I feel like I truly made an investment in my health and running performance that I’ll carry with me for years and across many sports.  Thank you Holley!

I enrolled in Holley's strong runner academy to learn how to properly fuel myself as a runner, especially since I was coming back from an injury that was most likely from under fueling and overtraining. This program was even more amazing than I could have imagined. Holley is such a well spoken, knowledgeable and just a good human! The way the course was structured was perfect- loved the sectioned modules, the weekly check ins and the weekly calls that made it much more easier to digest the large amount of information Holley was sharing with us. I loved that this course touched on overall balanced meal plates for easy/medium/ hard workout days, pre-run/during run/post run fueling, body image topics/reframing the mindset, and also a breakdown of all things nutrients. Every topic Holley was able to provide so much insight on and I loved how we could ask her anything and she would have an answer. Holley created a culture in the course where we built a camaraderie with everyone and it was a safe and healthy atmosphere to discuss all the things running and nutrition! I am so grateful to have had this incredible experience and know I will have an awesome running season now that I have lifelong tools and connections from this course. This course is 110% worth taking and investing in. Holley is the best of the best at what she does and you won't regret it :)

You are the best Holley! You have empowered me to find and succeed in my own goals. You have taught me to appreciate my body and fuel it appropriately. You are inquisitive and thorough. I value you’re dedication to facts and research. I could not have run my first marathon without you and my next one when the time comes will be the result of you as well because I will continue to apply all I have learned from you. Thank you!

—Jennifer, 1:1 and Group Coaching Client

I came into the Strong Runner Academy after hesitating to reach out to Holley for help for several months. The only thing I regret is that I waited so long. I needed knowledge and that's what I got. No B.S., no puffed-up "weird tricks," "hacks," or gimmicks, just solid science-based information delivered in a very direct, user-friendly way by a caring, compassionate expert who lives in the reality of the people she is teaching. When you feel like the instructor "gets you," it's more than just information to your brain, it's transformation of your psyche. I also enjoyed hearing the journey of fellow runners, learning from their experiences, and realizing that I am not alone. Whether I run fast or slow in my years ahead, I will use what I learned from Holley Fueled Nutrition. Thank you.

I was hesitant to sign up for the course and waited until the last minute to do so as I have tried so many avenues for nutrition support. Each time I tried to work on my nutritional needs and goals, I was left feeling more frustrated than when I started. I signed up thinking I’d give it one last try, as I felt from watching Holley’s content that she might actually be someone who could not only help me with my nutritional needs for my running goals but, more importantly, help me make sense of the multitude of GI issues I’ve had over the last few decades. I absolutely made the right decision when I signed up for the course! The course material was incredibly educational. The modules teach what proper fueling and hydration looks like, why the different macros are important ent, and how to actually put everything into practice. There are considerations for athletes with different needs and goals, different ages and genders as well as different relationships with food. I’ve benefited greatly from the program and also started working with Holley 1:1, which has been a complete game changer for me from a physical, mental and emotional perspective. After looking over my blood work and GI Mapping, she’s developed a strategy for me to incrementally work on tackling values that were sub-par and address my overall gut health. She really listened to my history, what’s important to me and has given me encouragement and confidence. While there is still work to do, I haven’t felt this good in years, and I can say for the first time in a long time, I have hope for a future where I’m feeling my best. I never thought I’d say that!

—Melissa, Group Coaching Client

Holley helped me take my running to the next level. I grew tremendously during my time working with her and saw improvement in not only my running but also how I felt. She is someone I would highly recommend having in your corner as a runner!

— Stephanie, 1:1 Client

I went into this program at square one with my nutrition. I’ve had a rocky relationship with food my whole life, and while I really wanted to improve it- I never knew where to begin. I was worried that when I’ve tried to address it in the past, I’ve ended up reverting to unproductive eating patterns. I chose to work with Holley because of her experience working with clients with disordered eating. I’d heard her podcast episode of body image and the holidays and really appreciated her anti-diet culture approach. Working with Holley was a great step to making changes to my nutrition feel manageable. Holley’s training style allowed for alternatives to counting calories or weighing yourself, if you’re someone who’s not helped by those processes. While still providing enough structure for me to feel like I’m making intentional, beneficial food choices. She helped me see my diet less as “good” or “bad” foods, and instead understand how all foods can have a place in my diet. I highly recommend working with her!

-T.A.P., group coaching client

I initially wanted to join Holley's coaching group to improve my nutrition during marathon training. I knew I was majorly lacking in that department and needed help. Her program was so incredibly helpful and made marathon training not only enjoyable but helped me become a stronger runner. I finished my goal marathon with a PR and feeling great. My pre-, during and -post marathon fueling and hydration was totally on point and all thanks to Holley. I was nervous about investing so heavily in myself by working with Holley but it was 100% worth it. Just after our first couple of group meetings and seeing the extensive nutrition program she had laid out really put my mind at ease. I now have a long list of new nutrition-based habits that I can carry through my running career. I would absolutely recommend working with Holley!

-Heather, group coaching client, training client

I came to Holley after a few folks, including my coach, my PT, and my therapist, recommended I seek help from a professional for my probable RED-S. I was in a managed, but chronic, injury cycle, culminating in a stress fracture in my OFF-season. I had been following Holley for a while on IG and my coach knew her and, after some back-and-forth questions with Holley, I joined the group program. I had developed a ton of really bad habits (thanks, diet culture), some of which I didn't even realize until neck deep in the program, but I knew I needed to get this support if I wanted to achieve my goals and, more importantly, have longevity in my sports. Through Holley's program, I finally understood how much I generally need to eat, how many carbs and grams of protein I need as a master's athlete, and how important electrolytes are! I figured that running, and especially training for a marathon should just feel like a constant slog, but, surprise! If I eat, fuel, and hydrate properly, I can actually feel good, even during the hot, humid runs and rides! I'm recovering better, too - I don't need to sleep away the afternoon following a long run and I feel ready to tackle the next day's workout. My nagging niggles are clearing. And, as a triathlete that swims stupid hard intervals a couple times a week, fueling properly around those workouts not only meant that I no longer felt like I would simultaneously vomit and pass out during main sets, it also translated in to much faster 100, 200, and 500 times! I'm keeping up, and passing, the boys, now! I think any athlete that wants to have longevity in their sports would GREATLY benefit from Holley's program! And, bonus: Holley is a legit nice, awesome person and, as I know from personal experience, eager to answer all. the. questions.

— Stephanie, Group Coaching Client

As a recreational runner with performance goals, it was refreshing to find the sports nutrition side of social media and discover Holley's expertise first through her podcast and Instagram and then through this course. Holley presents the information in clear and accessible ways, and I have learned so much about properly fueling this sport. During the live sessions, it was invaluable to have Holley "on the spot" to answer questions and provide some personalized feedback and advice. I also appreciated the community aspect of the weekly calls and hearing others' perspectives and experiences. I would highly recommend this program to any athlete ready to leave diet culture messaging behind, and dig in to nutrition science (but again, in a way that's very manageable)! Thank you, Holley!

— Courtney, group coaching client

Working with Holley has transformed my life. Before taking this class, I had no idea what a macro was or how many grams of protein that I needed to consume in a day. I loved the learn at your own pace classes and enjoyed the group calls. I feel like my energy level is higher and I don't get tired after my meals like I used to. Running feels easier overall. I am learning to be a balanced athlete and I have Holley to thank for that.

—Keely, Group Coaching Client

I joined the Philly marathon group to learn to fuel my body before, during and after runs, and add appropriate strength workouts to my training plan. Before the program, I had no idea how to incorporate useful strength workouts to my training, but that is definitely not the case now! My ABC goals for the race were to: PR, fuel myself properly with no GI issues, and feel great/finish strong. During the group, I got so much more than I planned on getting- from daily nutrition support, to appropriate hill and speed workouts, and new pre-run/post-run cooldown stretches. Holley's cookbook is a fantastic resource that I utilize every day! During the race, I was able to smile and enjoy myself (which was a great feeling!) and I PR'd, even with the cold and very windy conditions! I would HIGHLY recommend any of Holley's group programs for support with running, nutrition, and strength. Holley is the #1 "jack of all trades" when it comes to training!!

— Cara, Group Coaching Client

There is an extraordinary amount of nutrition misinformation bombarding us everyday and it seems like disordered eating and poor relationships with food are extremely prevalent in endurance sports. It was so nice to feel like Holley kept me grounded in solid nutrition practices backed by science. Being presented with REAL nutrition education consistently for 12 weeks gave me the confidence and information I needed to proceed to implement changes and continue to improve my relationship with food with confidence. While every individual must do the work to figure out exactly what works for him/her, Holley takes so much guess work out of this whole confusing world of endurance sports nutrition. Anybody who participates in endurance sports could benefit so much from this program and Holley’s expertise. I was absolutely on a path to doing long term damage to my body through chronic underfueling, and Holley was the one to point me back in the direction of great health and many future decades of running strong.

—Miriam, group coaching client

Holley has so much knowledge about running and nutrition and is able to teach even the most complex concepts in a way that anyone could understand and implement. What I found to be most impressive was how she was able to give out individualized help and advice to each and every one of us in the group. She takes her time, does her research extensively, and truly cares about all of her clients. As a new runner, I had been following Holley on IG for a couple months and loosely using her info and posts to guide my training and nutrition plans. After being exhausted and drained physically and mentally from a half marathon cycle I decided I wanted to improve my longevity in the sport and feel like a “real” runner. Holley and the group of other athletes made me realize that I am an athlete and that carbs are my friends and that hydration is the key to success. The lessons learned during the self-guided modules + the group calls + having Holley in your back pocket is invaluable. I am now a proud 1:1 client and SO excited to continue learning and bettering myself in running and in life.

—Andrea, group coaching client

Before Holley's program I knew I needed to fuel my body more/better but now I actually know HOW to fuel my body more/better. No good nutrition plan is one-size-fits-all so Holley gave us general guidelines and starting points so everyone in the group could find what works for them. Each week we learned about the science/research behind what we were trying to do and then she gave us specific actions we could each take to improve our nutrition and figure out what works for our individual bodies. I think my favorite thing about the course was how Holley worked with us as a group. I loved hearing questions/answers from my "teammates" and I looked forward to meeting with the group every week. There was also a wide range of abilities in our group and even though I am a "back-of-the-pack" casual runner I felt just as included and valued in the group as my teammates who have done ironmans, were training for major marathons, or run much higher mileage than I do. This course was a transformative experience for me and it has helped me learn to value and care for my body as an athlete.

In all honesty, when I signed up for the program I felt so silly for enrolling in something like this. I'm a slow, low-mileage runner and I was worried that I wasn't "good enough" and like, what business did I have signing up for something that is obviously for "legit" runners? But I could not have made a better decision than to take this course. Every week I learned and implemented new things that made a tangible difference in how I felt during my long runs and throughout the rest of my week. Even though my long runs take me a LONG time, turns out that if I fuel appropriately I can feel great the whole time and have tons of energy for the rest of the day. I also saw that other people had similar questions/challenges even though their training might have been more intense. Regardless of my weekly mileage or my pace, I now see myself as a legit runner. Because I run. And now that I know this I can fuel my body appropriately.

—Sophie, Group Coaching Client

I really enjoyed working with Holley in this program. She is very knowledgeable in many areas of nutrition, coaching, endurance events, and the struggles with disordered thoughts around fueling for sport. She helped me focus on what was needed most to excel in triathlons on and off the course. I also very much enjoyed the calls with the other participants. I learned so much through hearing their questions and struggles. We addressed issues during open discussions that I wouldn't have thought to ask. I would highly recommend this program with Holley.

—Gina, Group Coaching Client

After experiencing two injuries in a row, a bout with covid that left me run down and burned out, a series of canceled race registrations, and a panic attack at work, I could not ignore the fact that something was very wrong. I was not sleeping, I couldn’t run, I was sad, and in pain. I started physical therapy, but it became obvious to me that I had to change my attitude toward my diet to fuel my dreams. I had reservations about spending the money to join the SRA, but ultimately that investment motivated me to treat the course as an important aspect of my recovery. Holley has helped me open my eyes to the damage I was causing to my body and mind. And her class has definitely set me on a path and given me the tools I need to rebuild. I will be absorbing her knowledge and implementing her recommendations for many months forward. No one can change their life in a day, but I am committed to the long term healing of my body and mind. I would absolutely recommend this course to those who feel frustrated and confused about their injuries and struggles both physical and mental.

I had a few goals I was aiming to reach with this training plan including a 'fast for me' 15k in July and getting to an 18 mile race healthy and strong. After a not-so-great marathon training cycle last year and body/recovery changes from my RA, I knew I had to approach my run training differently to achieve these goals. This plan was the perfect fit. Holley was super helpful in helping me decide between the half or full marathon plan. I went with the half as I also did this plan paired with a long distance swim training plan and knowing my body does better airing on the lower mileage side.

Truly, I've never felt so strong during a run training plan ever before. I felt awesome! I liked the ability to adjust to cross training over an easy run if I felt my body needed it. It gave me the right structure to take my easy days easy and really focus on speed on the workout days. My races all went better than I could have imagined. I ran the 15k in 1:11 on a hillier course, taking over 6 minutes off my time from 2019.

My 18 mile race I ran the day after a 10km open water swim and the conditions were tough but my legs and body felt strong-- even in the heat/humidity turned to severe thunderstorms. I never doubted my legs at all on race day and wound up taking 1st female, 5th OA.

A lot of my training time has been spent as a long-course triathlete so this was a very different approach than I was used to. The mileage was about the same as I had done in the past but it felt much more calculated and far easier to successfully execute (i.e. not constantly failing workouts, under-recovery, missed miles, etc.) I never felt overwhelmed mentally and physically with the mileage but still got faster. I know part of that is knowing to take the easy days actually easy, of course :)

I would without a doubt recommend these training plans to anyone. This plan was great to use to reach my goals while also being able to fit training into my very busy lifestyle/achieving life balance. Having a training plan that felt like it was setting me up to SUCCEED was amazing. I have spent a lot of training time feeling like I wasn't being set up to succeed.

— Stevie, Training Client

Holley really knows her stuff when it comes to the relationship between being a successful runner, at any level, and properly fueling for your goals. She has tons of information at the ready including sample fueling plans, grocery lists and suggestions as well as lots of meal prep suggestions. She is also very good at motivating each client with whatever tools work for the individual. I am happy to have worked with her and find myself say "what would Holley do/suggest?" when I am questioning a choice or meal plan.

— Ericka, 1:1 Client

I was hoping to find a better relationship with food and running through working with Holley. I achieved this and so much more during the course of 12 weeks. I had a few hesitations prior to making the investment, but it's been worth every penny! I was able to overcome my hesitations by trusting the process and trying to implement something new each week. Highly recommend working with Holley! She keeps it REAL, makes it fun and is SO knowledgeable. I felt very supported. She's like having your own personal cheerleader and dietitian encyclopedia rolled into one :)

I think what makes this program so special is the intimate interactions with Holley. Being in a group you not only get to hear about the struggles and successes of others (and how they did it), but you receive feedback directly from Holley on whatever it is you’re facing that week. Doing the modules alone would have been awesome, but having a weekly check in to problem solve some of the implementation challenges was a game changer. If you were on the fence, don’t hesitate! You, your body, your mind, and your next race results will thank you.

—anonymous, group coaching client

As someone who has struggled with weight and body image issues in the past, I was hesitant at first going into this program. Before enrolling in Strong Runner Academy, I always did my weekday morning runs in a fasted state. I thought by not eating before running, I would burn more calories. I was also petrified of gaining weight, so I would limit my carbohydrate intake to fruits, vegetables, and beans; grains were off limits. Holley helped me to see that I was only hurting myself and my training by limiting my carb intake. Once I started increasing my carbohydrate intake, I gained speed and endurance, and I recovered faster. I would definitely recommend the Strong Runner Academy to anyone that is looking to reach their running potential.

—erin, group coaching client

I would absolutely recommend Holley to anyone who feels like they are underprepared and underfueled as an athlete. These were both things I realized that I was once I started working with Holley. After the first few weeks, I began to understand the science behind how I was fueling myself and the changes I needed to make (hello, feeling tired and exhausted 24/7!). I’m now months into training for my first marathon and I no longer feel tired and fearful about how I’m going to tackle this goal. I feel like I have all the tools in my toolbox to meet any challenge head on. Spoiler alert, it’s not only helped me in my sports goals, it’s helped me cope even just in my daily life. I’ve been able to have a healthier relationship with food and fueling myself. Enjoying it, not viewing foods as “good or bad”, learning to love carbs and all that it gives to myself as an athlete and a living human being. In short, it’s helped me achieve balance that I was definitely lacking in my every day relationship with food. Holley is so generous with her time in helping me interpret my nutritional deficiencies with the help of InsideTracker and giving me tools to the right mindset with fueling my body the right way.

- Katie, Group Coaching client

Your one on one feed back is amazing, our check in calls have been something that I look forward too, I always finish the calls feeling positive about my progress and mindset moving forward with the next training block.  I felt your feedback and the way you analyze and help problem solve was super important as I started this journey with you.  When I first started with you, as I previously always thought,  this could be a possible weight loss journey, but quickly after a few weeks of working together, you helped me understand that health and fitness is about so much more than weight loss or weigh ins.  Mentally it was hard for me to change my approach to fitness, running and nutrition, but working with you was super valuable for me mentally and emotionally to understand that balance between progress in strength and performance and what you think your ideal body weight or composition is.

My priorities quickly changed from weight loss to fueling and preforming well during my workouts and running, the way I felt post workout started to be a more positive indicator of how well my fitness has progressed.  My mindset towards food has completely changed and I have less moments of worrying about if food is "good or bad", and look at it with an approach to what makes me feel optimal while training and recovering.  Over the year I achieved somethings I didn't even know should be priorities, my mindset around life set backs turned more positive and through building a good fitness foundation I was able to bounce back from a few set backs fairly quickly without feeling like I needed to exercise or diet out of guilt from missing a few workouts or eating more than I normally would.  My running and strength progress was something I was proud of by the end of the year, my running stamina improved significantly where I doubled my average run duration, and increased my lifts steady throughout the year!

I had hesitations starting as I've always been able to do the work well on my own, and could achieve decent results doing so, but after a repeated cycles of pushing hard, dieting hard, and than injury, I knew I needed to do something different and invest in my self with the help of someone with an approach that resonated with me mentally.  When I first started seeing social media content from you, it was the first time I had seen information about fueling properly, progress indicators that aren't weight related, and overall a really positive approach.  After the first few calls I felt really comfortable with the decision to work with you and make that investment.

I would love to recommend working with you to friends and family that I see struggle with the same issues I did.  Even though running is one of my main priorities, I found that you helped me in so many other ways that are not fitness/running related.

In my past I tried working with personal trainers, diet books, and using my own experience with sport specific training but they were unsustainable over a long period of time.  Working with you was a very different experience than those, the one on one support was super valuable in terms of staying positive, consistent and accountable.  It was really awesome being able to talk things through with you, and have you adapt and adjust my training schedule when needed, and knowing when I should take things slowly or go for that long run.  I also changed my approach to training and nutrition and understand better now that there is a time and place for fuelling properly for a training cycle and when is a good time to cut back and recover.  You also helped me develop a mindset that running, fitness, nutrition, and health is something you accomplish over a long period of time doing things right consistently day to day, there are no quick fixes like I was previously trying to do.  That's not something easily attainable through a book or a PT that prints you a cookie cutter 8 week training plan.

Working with you has been amazing so far, my experience has been so much more than what I thought working with a dietician would be, you've been a great coach and motivator.  Thank you!

The Runner’s Roadmap is a fantastic course for those who are serious about running.  Whether you want to learn about nutrition, strength training, meal planning ideas - this course has it all.  I love that it helps you calculate your nutritional needs right off the bat so you have that in the back of your mind along the way.  The course is structured well and builds on itself.  I suggest taking your time and taking notes as it’s a lot to digest, but it’s in a way that is understandable and works.  Throughout the course, I tried to implement a few things along the way - such as, new recipes (buy the Busy Bee cookbook!), stretches, meal plate “management”, more hydration.  Truly a great support for my new love of running and my goal to run a marathon! Thank you!  You are an inspiration and have changed my life.  Keep doing what you do and keep being amazing!

— Nicole, Roadmap student

I 1000% recommend using Holley to help you achieve your fitness goals whatever they may be. Everyone has a different fitness journey and Holley is AMAZING at working with you to make her programming fit your needs. For me, I’ve tried “dieting” and tracking my food and I hated every second of it. Holley taught me how to have a healthy relationship with food all while training for my first marathon, which was a whole different beat in and of itself.
Holley was there for me every step of the way to answer all of my questions. I even considered calling her during a long run to run something by her and she was upset that I didn’t! She is easy to communicate with and is so amazing with customizing your programming.
Overall, Holley helped me run my first ever marathon. She helped me learn to love food and she helped me learn to love running. If this is something you are on the fence about, let me tell you it was worth EVERY. SINGLE. PENNY.

—Liam, 1:1 client

My goals around nutrition included a happier mind set around food and lowering my cholesterol. My goals around running were long term healthy happy running and completing a 50k. I have achieved so much more than my original goals! Yes I lowered my cholesterol, yes I have a happier mind set around food, yes I feel a long term health happy running life and I feel on my way to a 50k or any other running goal I feel calls to me along the way! The additional tools I have learned from working with Holley include, improving my body image and coping with diet culture among my friends, family and coworkers. I had some hesitations before investing in myself and working with a coach 1:1 for the first time since I've had so many failed experiences with programs such as noom, keto, intermit fasting, macro stax, my fitness pal, vegan and using fit tracker scale. I overcame my hesitations by realizing Holley's education and expertise could really individualize the help I was looking for, leading to long term achievements. I would recommend Holley to others and I have shared her podcast, posts and Instagram page to friends. The most important differences in my experience with Holley versus past experiences would be both my mental and physical health. My mindset around food and body image is on a healthy path and the knee injury I had from overuse (and under fueling) is healed. Holley's ability to educate individuals and apply research base methods on nutrition and athletics is priceless!

-Jenn, 1:1 client

Holley is amazing! I have already recommended her to my family, friends, and colleagues. I was recently diagnosed with a stress fracture and was looking for professional help when I stumbled upon Holley. Come to find out I was grossly under fueling. Holley makes nutrition simply and easy to understand. She is passionate but relatable. Thanks to her, I now consider myself an athlete and am working hard to fuel and train like one. I am so excited to continue training with her as I recover and prepare to tackle my first ever marathon.

—Jennifer, group coaching client

Through this course I gained valuable information and resources that I can use to help me improve my health and fitness in everyday life and around the activities that I do. It has changed the way I approach nutrition in my everyday life and around activities. I feel stronger for the change. In addition, taking this course with my husband was extremely valuable as we were able to discuss the classes and make changes as a couple. Holley was informative, supportive and I enjoyed hearing other people's perspectives during the weekly calls. I would highly recommend this course to others, especially if they can take it with their partner/family members.

—Yak-Nam, group coaching client

I worked with Holley 1:1 for about one year where she created my half marathon training plan, strength training plans, and coached me on nutrition. Holley is amazing, I highly highly recommend any of her programs or coaching options. She has a combination of intelligence and empathy that makes the perfect combo for being a sports dietitian. She always knew how to respond on the best and the worst days! She empathizes with the struggle and celebrates the victories from the rooftop. I like how she takes a scientific approach to nutrition and breaks everything down into something that I can understand. She not only nailed the big things - the training plans I hired her for and the nutrition guidance - but she also took care of the small things that others may miss, and it made all the difference.

— Dayna, 1:1 Coaching Client

Holley is very knowledgeable and is able to take her extensive education and bring things to terms that the average person can understand. She was super helpful and made me feel more confident and stronger as a runner! I look forward to implementing what I learned and see what the future of running has in store for me!

-Kelsey, Group Coaching Client

“The Runner Roadmap Course really helped me to fully understand how to become a better runner through proper nutrition and strength training. From going from thinking that one gu and a couple sips of gatorade was plenty to fuel a marathon to now knowing that it takes wayyy more than that to keep your body going is quite a big step. A lot of the time I have been underfueling on my day to day training and now I know the consequences of doing so and just how much a runner needs. Holley breaks it down so easy in the course so you do not have to feel like you have to count what you are eating at every meal every day in order to be successful. The course was loaded with information and I enjoyed every module. I took a lot of notes to continue using this knowledge throughout my life. I cannot wait to keep improving on my running and hopefully now stay more injury free and excel in future marathons. I would 10/10 recommend this program to any current runner or runner to be. I think it should be mandatory for anyone who signs up for a marathon so they know just how dangerous underfueling can be and how amazing you can feel/perform with adequate nutrition and strength training!”

— Nicole, roadmap student

“Having been in the Health and Fitness world for many years, I feel like I had a good grasp of basic knowledge of nutrition for runners. WOW!! Holley and the Runner Roadmap Course were fantastic! This course took the basic knowledge that I had and built on it so that I feel like I will be coming to the start line (probably virtually!) of marathon #5 well fueled and strong! But don't worry if you are starting at square one, the material is well thought out and presented in an easy to understand way. I am so excited to get to the start line!”

—Susan, roadmap student

“The Runner's Roadmap course is a fantastic resource for runners. Holley covers it all and really digs in to key topics that will most definitely help your running. I knew coming in that I was not eating enough to support my running and training, but taking this course REALLY opened my eyes to just how much I was under fueling and gave me plenty of recommendations to eat better and cleaner. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is a runner. You are bound to learn something.”

—RUBEN, roadmap student

“I took this course and have a start date to work with Holley 1:1 because even though I felt somewhat knowledgeable in nutrition and exercise, since I love to learn, I knew I was missing something! My relationship with food has been declining and an overuse injury with running boiled over to finally reaching out for help. This course laid out such expert information into an easy to understand and ABSORB format. I'm kicking myself for not knowing this information sooner but am hopeful to implement the tools and not repeat mistakes since I can clearly see where they came from now!”

—Jenn, roadmap student & 1:1 client

“I originally signed on to work with Holley around fueling during running and working out. However, we ended up working more on creating sustainable eating habits during a busy, and often chaotic time in my life. Holley also helped me work on learning how to eat more intuitively, and learn to measure my health by more than just the number on the scale. I am so happy that I made the decision to work with Holley. Several months later I am still able to consistently apply the skills I worked on with her, and my mindset around body image and weight has shifted and become much more positive. Holley is a positive, professional and educated dietitian. She listened to me and was always there to answer any questions I had. She's really the best and I highly recommend working with her!”

“Where do I begin? I started following Holley on Instagram Spring of 2020 along with a few other RDs. However, Holley’s post really seemed to click with me. I took a free webinar class in June and then immediately signed up for a consultation. I was a hot mess when Holley said she would take me on. I had been in PT almost a year with recurring injuries, I had never been able to train for a half because I kept getting injured and I was eating 1200-1400 calories a day. Holley asked me to get my blood work done with InsideTracker and it proved scientifically I was a hot mess. With Holley’s one on one nutrition and fitness coaching for 6 months, I graduated from PT, I eat between 1800-2000 calories, and I ran my first half (very hilly course) in 1:56:08. I have more goals to accomplish in 2021 and I plan to have Holley guide me through it all.”

“When I started working with Holley I did not have a clear goal in mind, meaning I wasn’t training for a race or specifically targeting an underlying health condition/concern. Throughout working with her, I learned so many helpful tips to elevate my “healthy baseline.” Working with a DIETITIAN like Holley gave me insights that I didn’t know I was missing as a “healthy” person. One thing I never would have done without Holley’s guidance was getting my blood work done. Holley and I were able to make changes based on the blood work results that helped me feel a lot better! I highly recommend the 1:1 experience because you don’t know what you don’t know, and usually Holley knows! One of my favorite questions I asked her was “why is my foot falling asleep while I’m running?” and she had a suggestion! Ask her anything, I did and it worked out well for me.”

"I have been working with Holley for almost 2 years now.  During that time, my life has changed dramatically due to her positive reinforcement, and intuitive advice.  Holley provided me with the tools to change my eating habits in a positive way, and I have lost 40 pounds, and went from being at risk of diabetes to normal readings today.  My family has unique needs due to food allergies.  Holley was able to customize my eating plan so that it did not affect my family, and provided me and my family with very individualized service.  I owe Holley many things, mainly my good health today.  Thank you Holley!!!"

“I'm looking forward to just having running be a part of my life. It is a great adult sport and what you say is true, you get out of it what you put into it. I'm looking to get faster now - and will hopefully be able to pick up some in person races soon. For good habits I’ve developed: not needing to track macros all the time, but counting calories just to make sure I am eating enough to fuel my runs. I also learned about the importance of fueling and finding what works specifically for me.”

"I first met Holley almost 2 years ago when I started a weight management class at my local gym. She helped me find healthier food choices which helped with my weight loss, and always REFERred to our choices as LIFESTYLE changes, not a diet.  I have a nut allergy which made it difficult to find healthy snacks to eat throughout the day, but Holley went above and beyond researching different products and companies that manufactured products that would be safe for me. I can’t thank her enough for her dedication, support and positive REINFORCEMENT.  I have lost body fat and gained muscle, but most importantly I have EMBRACED a healthier lifestyle that makes me feel so much better. I would highly recommend Holley if you are looking for a positive lifestyle change. "

"Working with Holley has had a huge impact on my running and overall health. Her perspective and knowledge of nutrition and how to fuel my body, as well as training has helped me to PR in the half marathon, and to complete a full marathon. Focusing on balancing healthy eating, sleep, and workouts with her positive perspective has improved my happiness and mental health. I have never received the wrap around support that Holley provides from any gym or diet program I’ve tried. I highly recommend her services if you’re looking for a wealth of knowledge, positive outlook, realistic expectations, and a good challenge."

“Working with Holley has definitely mentally transformed me when it comes to food and water intake. Also practicing a balanced lifestyle is what I am aiming to maintain. It was a lovely experience to have gained this journey. It really felt like one of the only stable things I maintained and that was grounding throughout 2020 so I am so appreciative of the mentoring and insight I have gained. I hope to be able to "re-enlist" as soon as I can and be even more productive with the program.”
