It's been close to a month since our group ended and now I feel I can reflect upon my experience. First, I hesitated/postponed for almost a year before committing. Holley was always receptive to random questions I had throughout that time (via DM/IG story) and she responded in a timely and honest manner. Quickly I grew to trust her wealth of knowledge and experience in the area of sports nutrition as well as in eating disorder awareness - coming from a background of 30+ yrs of an ED + compulsive exercise, I had already been through too many failed programs and awkward client-clinician relationships in the past. So I was pleasantly surprised to find that this group was so helpful in many regards: learning how to fuel *properly for daily needs and exercise (through self-paced modules), addressing maladaptive thought patterns as it relates to eating, rules, rituals etc, identifying root causes to certain ailments i.e. chronic heartburn for myself. And most importantly, as someone going through menopause, I felt my specific concerns and questions were validated and addressed properly. Holley and her team are always available/prompt to answer questions outside of the group and one can add on lab work/functional testing - which I have done since the group has ended. Having a group of individuals with both similar and different backgrounds helped me grow to be a better a runner, physically and mentally. I urge others to join or reach out to Holley sooner rather than later!

I thought about signing up for Holley’s course a few times before I actually made the investment which was totally worth it! She is very knowledgeable and presents information in an easy to access manner that is relevant to anyone- especially athletes of all levels. I decided to take the class in the hopes of better understanding fueling and energy needs with the goal of improving my marathon outcomes. I continue to refer to the abundant course materials which inform different aspects of my training (and life as an athlete and human). My next marathon is in 4 months and I’ll carry Holley’s many mantras with me. Holley’s course materials are thorough and engaging and I continue to refer to them. Her strong runners academy made me more confident and knowledgeable about fueling for races and everyday runs. Totally worth the investment!

Joining this program has helped transform my relationship with food and running. Working with a structured plan taught me how to fuel my body for peak performance, giving me the sustained energy needed to power through long training runs and recover faster.Beyond just tracking macronutrients, the program shifted my mindset from restriction to nourishment. I learned to tune out the noise and truly listen to my body's hunger and fatigue cues. Ultimately, this program gave me the tools to view food as performance fuel and respect my body's physical limits, making me a stronger, more resilient runner. Thank you Holley!

I signed up for this program to understand my individual fueling needs for running long endurance events. I was a bit skeptical of a group setting, but Holley assured me this was the right match for me. AND it was 100% fabulous. I learned the value of others' experiences and group morale, while being focused on what I needed to fuel with - before, during, and after a race. What was most helpful was focusing on my daily intake for a training block and maintenance mode. The cookbook is the perfect complement to the class, and I found myself using many of the recipes, especially when recovering from a long run. The added bonus of meal planning hours is not to be missed as it completes the whole program, putting together all that is learned. I HAVE to say THE CHERRY on top of working with Holley, is she really practices what she preaches.

After bouts of inconsistent performance, what I sought most was confidence in understanding how fueling could aid both my health and performance. I initially hesitated, feeling like I'd researched enough to have a general understanding and questioned if my situation was a fit (were my issues big enough? too big? not recent enough?).
I quickly realized fueling isn’t just general knowledge, it’s individualized and must meet you where you are, which I knew this program - and Holley - would do! I now know how to fuel in a way that supports my running even when my running has been inconsistent and I’ve been able to separate fueling from other variables, which has been huge mentally.
Now I feel more confident and less overwhelmed; more informed and less worried about what others are doing or eating; more motivated to act on my learnings and less uncertain about where to start.
I’d absolutely recommend this program, especially if you feel like you “kind of know what to do” but aren’t sure how it translates to you personally. Any hesitation quickly turns into insight, confidence, and a sense of validation through both Holley’s support and the group camaraderie.
